Black Stallion and the Red Mare

Exciting moments in the story can bring up many different things between even the worst enemies, especially when they have to work together, and this is usually the main point of interest in the story. Wether it is by foot, horse, or automobile it always drags you into the
story. Black Stallion and the Red Mare, by Gladys Francis Lewis can relate to another amazing short story "A Secret For Two". In both short story's one of the main characters has a medical condition found out by one of the minor characters which is not found out untill the end of the story. The Black Stallion and the Red Mare teaches the reader about a true friendship.
In this short story every event in the story played off of the chase with the Black Stalion and the Red Mare. Because in a story the most exciting events bring up all the problems and emotion. Like when the boy felt sad that he could on the chase. Or when they were camping out in the woods to catch the horses because they would destroy the crops.
When the boy donald in the story wants to tell his dad about the horses but hesiates, it reminds me of when you have the choice to go play or when your parents say they really need your help. That is what I think donald in the story was feeling. The Writer of the story does a very good job of expressing the boys feeling in writing.
